Morgan Craig - Owner & Gym Director

Morgan has been involved in the cheerleading industry for the past 27 years. In high school, he was a USA All-Star cheerleader 3 years in a row and received an invitation to perform in Paris, France his senior year.  He has coached and choreographed for all levels of cheerleading from youth teams to college and is highly sought after for his choreography and music mixes.  Morgan has worked as a regional cheerleading judge for the United Spirit Association and America's Best Cheer & Dance. 

For the past 19 years, he has been the Creative Director and Coach for CHEER San Francisco, a professional adult cheerleading team that has performed across the United States as well as in Amsterdam, Singapore, Australia and Canada.   Morgan is in his 11th year as the Cheerleading Director and Coach at Notre Dame High School in Belmont, CA.  - the six-time USA Northern California Champions, 2006 Athletic Championships National Champions and the seven-time runner-up to the United Spirit Association’s High School National Cheerleading Championships.  Morgan  was a head coach at the FOCUS All Star Cheer Gym in Redwood City where his all-star teams won 4 National titles in their first two years.  Morgan is a member of the Golden State Spirit Association (GSSA) as well as being a certified cheer coach through the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors (AACCA) and the United States All Star Federation (USASF – Level 5 certification). He is also First Aid and CPR certified.  Morgan was selected as a featured coach in the 2006  “Who’s Who” issue of American Cheerleader Magazine.  Morgan lives in Belmont, CA.


Darrell Franzela

Mini, Tiny & Youth Team Coach

Darrell found her love for dance at the age of seven when she started ballet. She started cheerleading in the 7th and 8th grade. In High School, she continued her passion for 3 more years, and was Captain her Junior year.  For the past ten years, Darrell has coached the cheerleaders at St. Catherine of Sienna School in Burlingame. Throughout these years, her teams have been very successful, placing in several local competitions. In 2009, Darrell was named “Coach of the Year” at the Mercy HS cheer competition.  She has an immense love and dedication for cheer and dance, and enjoys sharing her passion with others.

Junior and Senior team Coach, Tumbling Instructor

Mario has been a cheerleader for 13 years. He started cheerleading his Sophomore year at Abraham Lincoln High School, located in Los Angeles and by his senior year was captain of his Varsity competition squad.  After graduating from High School, Mario pursued a higher education at the University of California, Los Angeles where he was a member of the UCLA Spirit Squad during his freshman and junior year.  During his college summer breaks, Mario was staffed as a professional cheerleading instructor for the United Spirit Association (USA) during the summers 01-02 and then for the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) during the summers of 03-04. 

 


Kelly Venezia

Special Needs Coach & Director

Kelly has been involved in cheerleading since she was a little girl. She was a cheerleader through her Jr. High and High School years. Kelly has attended 4 USA Spirit Camps and was selected to try out for the USA summer staff when she was a senior in High School.  For the past 15 years, Kelly has been the cheerleading coach and drama teacher at St. Charles School in San Carlos.

Being active is very important to Kelly. She is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, teaching classes such as cardio kickboxing and spin. Her passion lies in fitness for children and she runs “Cardio Kids” classes and is the Director of the “Kids Zone” at the YMCA in San Mateo. Kelly also works with Cancer patients in developing a fitness routine in a program called “Living Strong, Living Well”. Kelly is First Aid and CPR certified.  Kelly lives in San Mateo with her husband and two children.


Amanda Walker

Mini, Tiny and Youth Team Assistant Cheer Coach


Amanda Walker has been involved in gymnastics and tumbling since the age of 6 and advanced to participate on compulsory teams. She progressed quickly and was coached by former Olympians and developed into a strong competitive gymnast. Amanda retired at Level 6 to become a cheerleader at Premier.

Cheerleading has become an important part of Amanda’s life. She loves the dance, stunting, of course the tumbling, and thrives on the competition. Additionally, Amanda’s career goal is to be an elementary school teacher. At Premier she is able to combine her two passions - sharing her love of cheer by coaching and teaching children the skills she learned as a gymnast.
